The Big Harry Blues Band is a group of highly seasoned musicians, all steeped in the blues. The group performs blues songs by the original, masters of the blues such as Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, T-Bone Walker, Jimmy Reed, B.B. King, Elmore James, Lightning Hopkins, Sonny Boy Williamson II, and many more.

The band is a reformed group of the original Big Harry and the Back Alley Blues which was well known in the Topeka and Manhattan KS areas for over 17 years.

The band is centered around Harry Muldrow on saxophone and vocals and Nic Olas on guitar and vocals. Harry and Nic have skilled musicians who back them at all times and you are sure to get a quality performance every time you hear them. The main band currently is Danl Blackwood on bass, Verlan Penn on keyboards and Lee Roberson on drums.

“Big” Harry Muldrow is a experienced, road tested master musician who has been honing his musical skills for well over  half a century. Harry plays and sings like no one but Harry Muldrow, so you’re in for a treat when he picks up his horn or steps up tot he mic.

Nic Olas, originally from St Louis,  starting playing guitar over 45 years ago and has performed in a wide variety of bands covering just about every genre there is but is firmly rooted in the blues!

The band performs in the Kansas City region that also includes Topeka, KS and Manhattan, KS. has a solid indoor (as well as outdoor) sound and light system and are professionals right out of the gate in every way.
